Description

This vanilla cream is a real classic at home: quick to prepare, economical, no oven-baking and perfect for children. It's similar to the famous Danette - soft, smooth and full of vanilla flavour. You can also adapt it to caramel, chocolate or coffee.

  1. TRADITIONAL METHOD
    Traditional preparation :
    1. Place the cream, milk, egg, sugar, vanilla sugar, cornflour and vanilla (pod or paste) in a saucepan.
    2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 4-5 min).
    3. Remove the vanilla pod.
    4. Pour immediately into jars (4 x 250 ml or 8 x 125 ml) and seal with a lid.
    5. Leave to cool and store in the fridge.

    THERMOMIX® METHOD
    Thermomix preparation :
    1. Place all the ingredients in the bowl.
    2. Cook for 7 mins / 100°C / reverse / speed 3.
    3. Remove the vanilla pod.
    4. Pour immediately into the jars (4 x 250 ml or 8 x 125 ml) and close with the lids.
    5. Leave to cool and keep in a cool place.
