THE MENUS IN MY PREMIUM AREA
If I were to host three dinner parties this autumn, these are the menus I’d choose…
Three opportunities to get together around a lovely table.
MENU No. 2 — A Thursday evening
What an idea! I’ve invited some friends round on Thursday evening for a proper dinner.
Crispy savoury puff pastry · Poultry with tarragon · Chocolate & orange
How about we finally took the time to entertain guests?
Pears, chanterelles & hazelnuts · Roast lamb · Autumn pavlova
MENU No. 15 — An evening with a difference
How about we do something a bit out of the ordinary tonight?
Autumn Cappuccino · Salmon in a golden coating · Chocolate & pear
For each menu: the recipes, the shopping list and my plan of action to organise everything in advance.
Your guests are seated.
You too.
BBQ skewers
Description
My father's signature dish – here prepared by one of my sisters – these skewers have become a staple of our summers. A colourful combination of meat and vegetables, they are the perfect alternative to the usual barbecued steaks.
This dish is also ideal for vegetarians: a simple skewer of vegetables marinated in advance will please everyone.

TRADITIONAL METHOD
Preparation
1. Alternate pieces of meat, sausage and vegetables on the skewers.
2. If desired, brush the skewers with a marinade (olive oil, spices, salt and pepper).
3. Keep the skewers in the refrigerator until ready to cook.
4. Grill the skewers on the barbecue, turning them regularly to prevent them from burning.
They can also be baked in the oven at 220°C.
5. Cooking time will depend on the size of the pieces and the type of meat or vegetables used.
