Preparation:
The traditional way
Grind the vanilla pods very finely with the sugar.
Add the remaining ingredients and cook the mixture over a high heat for 10 minutes, stirring regularly.
Fill the finished mixture into vials or a screw jar. It will keep for several months in the refrigerator.
### **1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste = 1 tablespoon vanilla extract = 1 whole vanilla bean = ½ tablespoon ground vanilla bean powder**
