Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Skewers with a Real Snap (traditional method & Thermomix) These skewers are just like the ones from the Christmas market or fairground – beautiful, beloved, and often pricey. This homemade version is a great alternative: easy, seasonal, and with a real **chocolate snap** when you bite into it.Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Skewers with a Real Snap (traditional method & Thermomix)
Not soft, not melty – but a firm, shiny shell that sets perfectly in the fridge. Strawberries are in season, Easter chocolate can be repurposed… it’s the perfect moment to make these!

Bruschetta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Capers (traditional method & Thermomix) I first discovered this bruschetta in a fine food shop in Wimbledon, run by a traditional Italian house known for supplying London’s Michelin-starred restaurants. Their products were simple but outstanding in quality – and this Apulian bruschetta was one of my absolute favourites. Since I can no longer find it, I decided to recreate it at home using the listed ingredients – but without added sulfites or preservatives.Bruschetta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Capers (traditional method & Thermomix)
The result: a homemade version so close to the original, it could easily be mistaken for it. It also costs significantly less (the original jar sells for around €6.50, while the homemade version comes to roughly €2.50 per jar) and makes a lovely homemade gift.

Liège Waffles (Traditional & Thermomix Methods) Liège waffles are not a light treat, but they're absolutely worth it! My son recently reminded me that I hadn’t made them in almost a year. In front of his school in Brussels, there’s often a waffle van that smells amazing – but at 3.50 € each, it adds up quickly. Homemade, they cost only around 0.40 € per waffle – and taste even better. The pearl sugar melts into a golden crust while the inside stays fluffy and rich. You don’t need toppings like whipped cream or chocolate – they’re perfect just as they are. For a lighter touch, you can serve them with plain yogurt or tart berries, but honestly, nothing beats them warm and plain, straight from the waffle iron or toasted.Liège Waffles (Traditional & Thermomix Methods)
