Ingredients:
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180C. Prepare a 42 x 30 cm baking tray.
Mix the butter, brown and white sugar for approx. 5 minutes.
Add eggs and egg yolks one at a time.
Sift the flour and baking powder and fold into the butter mixture.
Spread the batter onto the baking tray. Bake for approx. 20 minutes. Please always keep an eye on it, as every oven is different).
For the meringue, beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff and fold in the currants. Then spread on the pre-baked dough and bake for another 15 - 20 minutes under supervision to prevent the meringue from burning.
When the cake is ready, leave to cool on the table and serve.
