Red fruit jelly with vanilla sauce (traditional & Thermomix)

Ingredients:

Preparation:

For the red fruit jelly, put the berry juice in a saucepan and bring to the boil. 

In the meantime, put 3 tbsp of the berry juice in a cup and quickly mix with sugar, cornflour, vanilla and lemon juice with a fork. Add the mixture to the boiling berry juice and boil again briefly for 1 minute while stirring. This mixture should now slowly thicken.

Carefully mix in the fruit, simmer for another 1 min, pour into individual glasses or a bowl and leave to cool.


For the custard, place the milk and cream and vanilla in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to the boil once and then remove from the heat.

Now whisk the egg yolks with the sugar and salt in a second saucepan until well frothy.

Pour in the warm vanilla milk and stir immediately. Slowly thicken on the lowest heat, stirring regularly. Please do not leave the cooker during this time.

When it has the desired consistency, remove from the heat and leave to cool.

Serve the red fruit jelly and custard cold and separately.
