Ingredients:
Preparation:
Grind the peeled almonds very finely in a food processor.
Put the icing sugar, vanilla sugar, ground almonds, egg whites and Cointreau in a bowl.
Knead all the ingredients with your hands or the food processor until you have a smooth mixture. Keep in a cool place until ready to use.
I use the marzipan to make decorations such as roses, marzipan potatoes or other vegetables or figurines, marzipan blankets to cover a cake etc .
TIP If you can't find peeled almonds or they are too expensive, you can easily peel them yourself:
Boil almonds in 1 litre of water for 2 minutes. Then drain them and let them cool down a bit. Press the almonds out of the skin with your fingers.
