Preparation:

**Preparation**

**Prepare the dill:**
Finely chop the dill and set aside.

**Sauté the onion:**
Peel and finely dice the onion. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, add the onion, and sauté for 2–3 minutes until translucent.

**Cook the green beans:**
Add 500 ml of water and the vegetable stock cube to the pot. Bring to a boil. Add the green beans, cover, and simmer over medium heat for about 15–20 minutes, until tender but still slightly firm. Remove the beans with a slotted spoon and keep warm.

**Mix the flour:**
Whisk the flour with 50 ml of cold water until smooth and lump-free.

**Prepare the sauce:**
Stir the flour mixture into the broth, whisking continuously. Bring to a boil and let the sauce thicken for about 2–3 minutes.

**Add the cream and seasoning:**
Stir the cream into the sauce and season with salt, pepper, and the chopped dill.

**Combine the beans with the sauce:**
Return the green beans to the pot and gently fold them into the sauce. Heat briefly without boiling.

**Serve:**
Serve the green beans in cream sauce hot, ideally as a side dish for fish or meatballs.

Enjoy your meal!
