Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 160C.
Beat the butter with the vanilla, the lemon zest, the sugar and the eggs.
Add the flour and the baking powder.
Pour the batter into the prepared tin ((30 cm x 18 cm or 22 cm), place the fruit decoratively on top and bake the cake for approx. 1 hour (please check for doneness and test with a wooden stick). If the cake gets too dark, cover with baking paper.
Serve dusted with icing sugar.
